Note: 1 inch = 2.54 cm Bust Measurement
Bust - Not your bra size! Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust. Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides. You must wear a bra when taking this measurement.
Waist Measurement
Waist - This is the smallest part of your waist. Typically it is an inch or so above your belly button. Also known as the natural waistline. Hip Measurement
Hips - This is the widest part of your hips, across the hipbone. Measurement is taken approximately 7 inches below the natural waistline. This measurement is not needed for full gowns. Hollow to Hem Measurement
Hollow to Hem - This is the length from your hollow (the hollow just under your neck) to your heels. Position the tape in front and stand upright with your bare feet together. Maternity Dresses - How to MeasureAlways get someone else to take the measurements for you: measuring yourself will give inaccurate numbers and could lead to disappointment. Upper BustMeasure around the highest part of your chest directly under the arms. Your arms should be relaxed and down at your sides. BustBust - Not your bra size! Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust. Your arms should be relaxed and down at your sides. You must wear a bra when taking this measurement. Under BustMeasure directly underneath the breasts (around the chest). Around TummyMeasure around the fullest part of your tummy keeping the tape measure a little loose for comfort. HipsHips- This is the widest part of your hips, across the hipbone. Measurement is taken approximately 7 inches below the natural waistline. This measurement is not needed for full gowns. Hollow to HemHollow to Hem- This is the length from your hollow ( the hollow just under your neck ) to your heels. (Measure in the front while in bare feet ). You should stand upright and your feet should be kept together. Groom's Wear - How To MeasureAlways get someone else to take your measurements; don't try to measure yourself. Men's Pants Size Chart
Neck![]() Take a skin tight measurement around your neck, just below your Adam's apple. Chest
This measurement should be taken just under the arms, closely around the body. Waist
Measure closely around the body at your natural waist level. Shoulder
With both arms down by your side, take the measurement from the tip of the left shoulder point, along the top of the shoulder just below the base of the collar, to the tip of the right shoulder. Length
Measure down the back from the base of the collar to the length required. Arm
With arm relaxed at side and elbow slightly bent, measure from center back of neck, over point of shoulder, and down outside of arm past elbow to wrist. Buttocks
Measure around your hips and buttocks at their widest point on a pair of well-fitting trousers (not jeans). Make sure your pockets are empty and the tape is not restrictive. Inside Leg
Measure from the lowest part of the crotch of your trousers (not jeans), keeping the tape taut, down to where you wish the bottom of the trousers to end. Please bear in mind the fit you want over the shoe as this will affect the desired length. Outside Leg
Measure from the top of the waistband on a pair of trousers (not jeans), keeping the tape taut, down to where you wish the bottom of the trousers to end. Please bear in mind the fit you want over the shoe as this will affect the desired length. |
